The Community Chest of the Western Cape has been working tirelessly over the past few weeks to provide urgent, lifesaving relief to families and communities affected by the severe storms across the province.
Thanks to generous support from its network, donors, and corporate partners, Community Chest WC has been able to respond quickly to communities in need. Teams have conducted site visits in severely affected areas, including Khayelitsha and Masiphumelele in Noordhoek, where assessments and support efforts are ongoing.
Emergency aid—such as food packs, blankets, hygiene packs, and kitchen essentials have already been distributed to vulnerable communities in locations including Macassar, Suurbraak, Knysna, Clanwilliam, Ladismith, Calitzdorp, Zoar, Van Wyksdorp, and Tulbagh.
