The Western Province Cricket Association and Gift of the Givers have launched a relief initiative to assist communities affected by deadly flooding across the Western Cape.
The Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA) has announced a partnership with Gift of the Givers to support communities across the Western Cape devastated by recent floods.
Newlands Cricket Stadium will serve as an official collection point for in-kind donations from Monday.
This comes after the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) has reportedly confirmed that 18 people have died across South Africa following severe weather conditions that have brought widespread heavy rain, flooding, thunderstorms and strong winds since May 4.
The Western Cape has been the worst-affected province, accounting for 11 fatalities.
