MANILA, Philippines—Justice Secretary Fredderick Vida on Tuesday vowed to go after other individuals, aside from Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, who would be subject of arrest warrants from the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Vida made this pronouncement when asked whether the Department of Justice (DOJ) would enforce ICC arrest warrants in the future should former President Rodrigo Duterte’s co-perpatrators in his crimes against humanity case also face charges.
“We are always ready to fulfill our mandate and our duty,” said Vida.
Vida said he does not want to speculate on whether there are other arrest warrants coming for other past and present government officials and police officials tagged as co-perpetrators of Duterte.
