MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang on Thursday vowed that justice would be served, as the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced that the arrest warrant issued against Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa by the International Criminal Court (ICC) may now be enforced.

Earlier, the DOJ also stated it had tasked the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to carry out the arrest warrant.

“It is clear from what the DOJ said that the arrest warrant against Senator Bato is enforceable. Proper legal action in accordance with the law can be expected from the government. All our officials will do everything to ensure that justice is served to everyone.,” said Palace press officer Claire Castro in a Viber message to reporters.
