MANILA, Philippines – The Maharlika Investment Corporation has signed an agreement with state energy agencies to modernize the Mindoro power Grid and support the island’s long-term energy needs.

In a statement, MIC said it signed an agreement on Monday with the National Power Corporation (NPC), National Transmission Corporation (TransCo), and National Electrification Administration (NEA).

MIC will serve as a strategic investor in the initiative, evaluating financing, acquisition, and modernization options for the small grid.
