Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State, says it has uncovered a major financial fraud involving ₦457,508,645 after concluding its Students’ Fees Payment Audit Exercise.
The institution disclosed that the scheme involved staff members and students who allegedly manipulated the university’s payment portal, diverting school fees into a personal bank account belonging to a female staff member.
According to findings released by the acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oyesoji Aremu, the fraud spanned the 2023/2024, 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 academic sessions, affecting 320 students.
