Dr. Fatai Surajudeen Abiodun, the Dean of Students’ Affairs at Lagos State University (LASU), has been accused of embezzling more than ₦730,000 allegedly sourced from students’ welfare funds.

Bank transaction records exclusively obtained by SaharaReporters allegedly show payments made into an Access Bank account bearing the name “Fatai Surajudeen Abiodun” with account number 0000604116.

According to student sources, the funds were drawn from Students’ Union and faculty association accounts meant for student welfare but were allegedly paid into the dean’s personal bank account.

Aggrieved student leaders, who spoke to SaharaReporters on condition of anonymity for fear of victimisation, alleged that Dr. Surajudeen pressured presidents of four faculty student associations, the Faculties of Social Sciences, Education, Arts, and Science, to transfer a combined ₦650,000 from ground rent proceeds intended for student welfare into the account.
