Some students and staff members have alleged massive administrative corruption and systemic extortion at the newly upgraded Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu State (FUAHSE).

The institution's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. John Emaimo, was also accused of running the varsity like a personal estate, allegedly fleeceing desperate students of over ₦10million under the guise of processing applications for a "change of course," SaharaReporters has exclusively gathered.

In tandem with the financial extortion, a deeper academic scandal has surfaced at the university’s Trans-Ekulu campus. Insiders have exposed how hundreds of students who completed their studies four to five years ago under the institution's former affiliation with the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), are systematically denied graduation due to institutional racketeering and "corner-cutting" by top management.

Multiple sources within the university's registry and student union body told SaharaReporters on Monday that following the upgrading of the school and subsequent approval of new health-related programmes, the management advertised vacancies for a change of course.
