SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur — Education Secretary Sonny Angara led the mass oath-taking of 1,559 newly promoted teachers and school heads in the Caraga region on Sunday, marking another major boost to the Marcos administration’s education reform agenda.

Angara, who administered the mass oath, highlighted President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to ensure that no public school teacher retires at the entry-level rank of Teacher I.

“Most people only see the promotion, but what is not seen is your early mornings, your late nights, and setting aside your own problems for your students,” Angara said.

“This promotion is not a simple administrative action—it is about dignity. It is about finally giving our deserving teachers a clearer path forward,” he added.
