Cooperation between the Hellenic Shortsea Shipowners Association (HSSA) and the International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) is being further strengthened through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).The Memorandum was signed by HSSA President Charalambos Simantonis and Konstantinos Kapetanakis on behalf of IBIA. The agreement provides for cooperation in the areas of know-how exchange, industry developments, technical expertise, training, and skills development for executives in the shipping and fuel markets.It also aims to promote common positions and address challenges affecting the international marine fuels supply chain.A member of the HSSA Board of Directors is already participating in IBIA’s Fuel Buyers Working Group, further strengthening the participation of Greek shipowners in the industry’s international dialogue. The group consists exclusively of shipowners, ship managers, and charterers.
