adsThe All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has announced the winners of its House of Assembly primary elections conducted across the State on Wednesday.
Lateef Ibirogba, the Chairman of the Ekiti State APC House of Assembly Primary Elections Committee and former Lagos State Commissioner for Information, announced the results in Ado-Ekiti after receiving reports from collation officers across the 26 State Constituencies.
Ibirogba disclosed that 17 aspirants emerged through affirmation, while nine others secured the party’s tickets through competitive elections.
Among the notable winners were Bolu Fayose, Son of former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, who clinched the APC ticket for Irepodun-Ifelodun Constituency 2, and former Governorship aspirant, Atinuke Omolayo, who emerged victorious for Emure State Constituency.
Omolayo had stepped down for Governor Biodun Oyebanji during the build-up to the APC Governorship primaries in 2025, a move that paved the way for Oyebanji to emerge as the party’s consensus candidate for the June 20 governorship election in the state.adsads
