MANILA, Philippines – Senate Minority Leader Vicente “Tito” Sotto on Sunday refuted Sen. Imee Marcos’ claims about a plot to hold a constitutional assembly in a bid to block the presidential run of Vice President Sara Duterte in 2028.
This comes a few days after minority Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson called Marcos’ claims “outright lies.”
Marcos said there were meetings at a hotel to discuss the constitutional assembly, where the two chambers of Congress would convene to amend the 1987 Constitution.
