USAA facilitated the temporary exhibit, and said the wall serves as a visual tribute and an educational tool, according to a press release.United Services Automobile Association emphasized that the poppies honor those that sacrificed for American freedoms in a time “where less than half of US adults understand the significance of the holiday [Memorial Day].”
“The Poppy Wall of Honor stands as a powerful reminder that behind every poppy is a service member who gave their life in service to our country – and a family forever changed by that sacrifice,” said Juan C. Andrade, president and CEO of USAA.
