Olympian Katie Ledecky Receives Honorary Doctorate From Yale
Olympic swimmer Katie Ledecky was awarded an Honorary Doctorate (Doctor of Humane Letters) at the 325th Commencement Ceremony of Yale University on May 18 on the university’s Old Campus in New Haven, Conn. Ledecky, 29, is the most decorated Team USA female Olympian in history across all sports. A standout in the last four Summer Olympic Games, Ledecky has earned 14 Olympic medals (nine gold), and her 18 individual World Championship long-course meter titles are the most ever for any swimmer.
Weatherford Capital Names Todd Marcy as Partner
Weatherford Capital, a private investment firm with over $1 billion in assets under management, has appointed Todd Marcy as a partner. In this role, Marcy will work alongside founding partner Drew Weatherford on all aspects of the firm’s sports investment strategy and sit on the Firm’s investment committee. Marcy will direct deal sourcing, evaluation, execution and portfolio management, alongside Weatherford. Marcy joins Weatherford Capital from Avenue Capital Group.
