RIYADH: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, represented by the Center of Digital Entrepreneurship, has launched a Tech Challenge to empower entrepreneurs and innovators to develop advanced Hajj and Umrah services.

The challenge launched recently focuses on three main tracks: smart crowd management, pilgrim experience, and language and communication technologies.

The program urges participants to develop solutions that enhance service efficiency, facilitate the pilgrim journey, and strengthen effective communication among relevant entities and beneficiaries.

The aim is to empower more than 85 participants, develop over 30 prototypes, and deliver 30 training programs and mentorship sessions.

The process will begin with registration and selection, followed by a business model development week, training bootcamp, technical support, mentorship, and ongoing follow-up. Three winning projects will be announced after a day of judging.
