Tourism Ministry launches smart housing service to enhance Hajj pilgrim experience

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Tourism has launched its smart accommodation service for pilgrims as part of a development initiative during the Hajj season.

The initiative aims to enhance operational efficiency and improve services provided to pilgrims, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday.

The service uses artificial intelligence and technologies related to the Internet of Things to improve pilgrims’ comfort and provide a more efficient hospitality experience.

It enables operating entities to track pilgrims’ arrivals in real time and manage housing distribution more efficiently, the SPA added.
