Museveni made the remarks while addressing concerns over reported Ebola cases linked to the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda.
Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni, has accused US-based media organisation, CNN, of spreading fear and misinformation over the Ebola outbreak in East Africa, insisting that the disease is easier to control than COVID-19.
Museveni made the remarks while addressing concerns over reported Ebola cases linked to the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda.
“I was watching CNN spreading fear through ignorance,” the Ugandan leader said.
According to him, Ebola does not spread as easily as COVID-19 because transmission requires close physical contact rather than airborne exposure.
