NAIROBI: Uganda’s vice president called on Tuesday ​for countries to lift travel restrictions against Ugandan citizens, saying that his country had controlled ‌Ebola in the ‌current ​outbreak.

“Uganda, ‌although ⁠it ​has had ⁠previous epidemics, we would like to state clearly that we have never exported ⁠any epidemic. Never ‌will ‌we export ​it ‌in this current ‌epidemic,” Jessica Alupo told a high-level meeting of African leaders ‌and donors on the Ebola crisis.
