Katie Price's family are said to be overjoyed that Lee Andrews has vanished from her life for over a week, but are said to be worried he may be tied to her for two yearsDaniel Bird Assistant Celebrity and Entertainment Editor10:01, 21 May 2026Updated 10:05, 21 May 2026Katie Price's family are reportedly "thrilled" that Lee Andrews has vanished. It's been over a week since the former glamour model last spoke to her husband.‌Last week, Katie posted on YouTube, saying she hadn't spoken to him for several days. He was originally due to travel to the United Kingdom, despite a travel ban. However, the businessman spoke to Katie via FaceTime and told his wife that he had been detained and was in the back of a van with his hands tied.‌Since then, she has been unable to contact her husband and claims that his location services on his phone had been disabled. He told Katie he had been taken to a "black site" and pleaded with her to contact the British embassy. The mum-of-five later filed a missing person report for her husband five days after last speaking to him.‌Amid reports that her family are overjoyed by his disappearance, a source told us: "This isn't something the family have shared with Kate. As they didn't know Lee personally, they don't feel it's their place to comment. Their priority, as always, is Kate."It was claimed that her loved ones were "relieved" that Lee never made it over to the UK to meet her children, and were concerned that she may be legally tied to her partner for two years, after tying the knot earlier this year.‌"Katie's family are absolutely thrilled Lee has disappeared without a trace and hopes it stays that way," a source claimed to The Sun. "They are especially relieved that he never made it to the UK to meet her children or embed himself into her home and life."Lee previously claimed he had met Katie's children, but a spokesperson for I'm A Celebrity star later confirmed that was not true. The source went on to add: "The concern now, though, is how Katie will be able to divorce him if she can't find him – she might have to wait at least two years to get a divorce or longer because he can't sign the papers."They added that there's "worry" that Lee may be able to profit off Katie as her husband. Since his disappearance, Katie has been vocal on social media, expressing her concerns and also dismissing claims that this may be a publicity stunt.‌She fumed: "Everyone who is trying to speculate, take the p*ss and make jokes, this isn't a scandal, it's something that's really happening, and there are real feelings involved. It could be going on for weeks, months, years, forever."This is not a publicity stunt; this is real, and anyone who thinks I am a part of it is disgusting. I'm really upset and distressed that people think I'm in on it. Are you joking? Come on, give me some credit. Why would I do that?"Meanwhile, Lee's mother, psychic medium Trisha Andrews, has filed a missing person report with the British Embassy for her son. In a desperate plea, she said: "Please bring my son back."Article continues belowThe Mirror has approached Katie's spokesperson for comment.Like this story?
