It’s the question that’s being asked up and down the country: where is Katie Price’s husband Lee Andrews? The reality star made headlines at the weekend when she revealed that she hadn’t heard from her husband of four months in days – and feared that he may have been “kidnapped”. Price, 47, married Dubai-based businessman Lee Andrews in January just days after meeting him for the first time. It has not been a drama-free honeymoon period for the pair who are navigating a long-distance relationship, with the University of Cambridge disputing Andrews’s claims that he earned a PhD from the institution. Now, Price claims that Andrews has disappeared after he was due to fly from Dubai to the UK for an appearance on Good Morning Britain. With this story only getting stranger by the day, we’ve broken down everything we know so far about Andrews’ apparent disappearance. ‘He’s a missing person now’Price raised the alarm over Andrews’ whereabouts for the first time publicly on Saturday (16 May) in a YouTube video. “I don’t really know where to begin but I know there’s all this speculation about Lee from when I met him,” she said. “Something really, really serious has happened.”She added that while she had posted to Instagram that Andrews was “taking time out of socials” due to recent trolling, the truth was that he had been missing “for three days”.“The last time I heard from Lee was Wednesday night at 10pm, he was trying to go through the border in Dubai to get on a flight to me,” she said. “We are wondering if he’s been kidnapped; he’s definitely a missing person now.”Katie Price revealed that her husband never arrived in the UK (Instagram/Katie Price)Watch Apple TV+ free for 7 dayNew subscribers only. £9.99/mo. after free trial. It looked like an old, dirty van.”A spokesperson for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office told The Independent: “We are supporting the family of a British man and are in contact with the local authorities.”The Independent has contacted the Dubai police for comment. The couple were due to appear on Good Morning Britain together on Tuesday (12 May) when Andrews failed to show up. Price said at the time that Andrews was stuck at the airport, with GMB revealing that after asking the Foreign Office whether Andrews had a travel ban, the public body responded: “We supported a British man who was detained in the UAE.” The TV personality on ‘Good Morning Britain’ on Tuesday (ITV)When host Ed Balls asked whether Andrews had been arrested, Price responded: “No, I feel like they just said it to me in there [backstage] so I just said to Lee, ‘apparently a British man has been detained, can you confirm it’s not you?’ He’s done a voice note back and said it’s not him and sent laughing emojis.“He’s at the airport and on his way. He’s coming over to spend quite a few months now, he’s sorting out my visa and my international driving license. He had things to do, didn’t make the flight, because of all his business stuff he has to do.”She later said on her podcast on Thursday that Andrews had made her “look a massive d***” after standing her up. “If he does make it to England it will shut all the rumours up because at the moment, everyone thinks he’s on a flight ban, this and that. I said it does look weird that you haven’t come to England and I keep going to Dubai,” she added. However, Price then said in her YouTube video on Saturday that the last time she spoke to Andrews was on Wednesday night, while he was “trying to get through the border at Hatta”. “His location went off at 10.03pm on Wednesday night, that’s the last contact anyone has had – his family and myself.”Andrews’ final message to PriceOn Tuesday, Price shared the last messages she received from Andrews before he stopped communicating with her, with the first message reading: “Been arrested, I’ll be in touch I’m ok xx”. He later clarified that he had actually been detained, adding: “It’s a black site, I love you, I sort it. I’m in the van… just being detained wtf.”A black site is a detention centre that operates outside of the country’s normal legal jurisdiction and is often associated with the security services. He then asked Price to track his live location, saying: “Keep that on babe love you,” before telling her to get in touch with the British Embassy in Dubai. A day later, The Apprentice’s Luisa Zissman claimed that Andrews’ Facebook account had been active just hours before, however Price set the record straight on Thursday, stating that she had access to his account in a now-deleted post. The aftermathDespite Price asking fans for their help in tracking down her husband, many have been left unconvinced by the ordeal.“He’s hiding. He knows the game is up,” one wrote in the video’s comments. Meanwhile, a source told The Sun that Price is “in constant contact with his family” and is “desperately worried”.Lee Andrews’ mother claims Price is ‘exploiting’ the situation (Facebook)“And she’s mortified – she’s seen people calling it a stunt and that she must be in on it, but she’s absolutely not,” they added. “This is such a worrying, upsetting situation.”While that may be the case, Andrews’ mother has seemingly turned on Price – accusing her of “exploiting” her son’s disappearance. After facing criticism for sharing her clairvoyant business on Facebook while her son was missing, Trisha Andrews replied to one commenter who wrote: “I think everyone needs to leave her alone as she’s not responsible for Prices drama queen antics [sic].” Andrews responded: “Thank you Jane it’s Katy exployting [sic] And I get all the backlash x.” The Independent has contacted Price for comment. That same day, The Apprentice’s Luisa Zissman revealed that she was flying to Dubai to look for Andrews. She told her Instagram followers on Monday: “I’m going to go find Lee Andrews for Katie Price because I really like Katie Price.”On Tuesday, Price shared an update to her YouTube page, slamming those who claimed that Andrews’ disappearance was a publicity stunt. “This is not a publicity stunt. This is real,” she said. “Anyone who thinks that I’m part of this is disgusting.”She added that while she feared he had been kidnapped, she was yet to receive a demand for a ransom. Price then addressed the situation again on her podcast on Thursday, revealing that she would be “taking a step back” from the case.Price said that she’s reading messages from fans and wants them to know that “things have crossed my mind”.“My tentacles are up so look, I’m not a stupid person and I get how people see things and I have been reading things,” she said. “I’m taking time to think of what I want to process and that’s why I say, there’s nothing more I can do but I am getting on with my life if you understand me saying that. Let me put it in short, for my own sanity, I’m taking a step back.”Price also revealed that she would no longer be speaking about Andrews. “I’m not going to talk about it anymore, I’m just staying quiet because it’s getting ridiculous now,” she said. “Just people taking the p*** out of everything. I already feel a d*** as it is from the TV show.“I’ve got lots of exciting things coming up and I’m just waiting for a call. What am I supposed to do? Sit here and cry and do nothing? Stay in bed? No because I’m not that. We will find out everything, I’m sure.”Price then had to abruptly end her podcast to take a phone call from the police, with her sister telling listeners: “Sorry about that little intermission. Kate has had to shoot off because she is taking a call from the police so that is it for today’s episode.”Lee Andrews is still ‘missing’ (Instagram/@wesleeeandrews)In the meantime, Zissman admitted defeat on her hunt for Andrews, flying back to the UK from Dubai on Thursday. Other celebrities have begun weighing in on Andrews’ disappearance, with Ellie Goulding responding to a parody news tweet, which falsely quoted her as saying: “Where the f*** is he?”The pop star replied on X: “This is not fake news , where IS he! we all need to know this information.”Price’s pal Kerry Katona gave her thoughts on the situation in her new! magazine column, writing: “As I write this, we’re still no closer to figuring out what’s happened to Lee Andrews, Katie Price’s husband who’s been missing in Dubai. "I can’t comment on the ins and outs of this because the tour’s in full throttle and it’s really hard to keep up with all the drama. It’s not a nice situation for anyone involved, let alone Kate and Lee's family.“I wish she’d stayed bloody single after things ended with JJ [Married at First Sight UK star JJ Slater]. But love is blind! Now we’ll just wait for the Netflix series to come out – working title: ‘Where’s Wally?'”
