Price raised the alarm over Andrews’ whereabouts for the first time publicly on Saturday 16 May in a YouTube video, stating. “I don’t really know where to begin but I know there’s all this speculation about Lee from when I met him. Something really, really serious has happened.”She added that while she had posted to Instagram that Andrews was “taking time out of socials” due to recent trolling, the truth was that he had been missing “for three days”.“The last time I heard from Lee was Wednesday night at 10pm, he was trying to go through the border in Dubai to get on a flight to me,” she said. “We are wondering if he’s been kidnapped; he’s definitely a missing person now.”Katie Price informed fans she couldn’t find her husband (YouTube/The Katie Price Show)Watch Apple TV+ free for 7 dayNew subscribers only. £9.99/mo. after free trial. It looked like an old, dirty van.”Katie Price married Lee Andrews in January (Instagram/@katieprice)A spokesperson for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office told The Independent: “We are supporting the family of a British man and are in contact with the local authorities.” The Independent has contacted the Dubai police for comment. She added that while she feared he had been kidnapped, she was yet to receive a demand for a ransom.Price then addressed the situation again on her podcast last Thursday (20 May), revealing that she would be “taking a step back” from the case.Price said that after reading messages from fans mocking the situation, she “gets how people see things”.“I’m taking time to think of what I want to process and that’s why I say, there’s nothing more I can do but I am getting on with my life if you understand me saying that. Let me put it in short, for my own sanity, I’m taking a step back.”On 23 May, the father of Andrews claimed his son had been imprisoned in Dubai. He said his son was being detained by UAE authorities on an unknown charge and was expected to contact him later that day.
