After two long weeks, Katie Price has found her missing husband Lee Andrews in what she has called a 'very rushed' conversation over the phone with him while the pair remain apartRachel Vickers-Price UK and World News Reporter03:23, 28 May 2026Updated 03:30, 28 May 2026Katie Price has finally located her missing husband Lee Andrews, speaking to him for two minutes on the phone as he called from a notorious Dubai prison. The Dubai-based businessman, 43, who became the subject of an international manhunt over the past two weeks, now claims that he was detained by authorities in Dubai on suspicion of spying. Espionage is one of the most serious crimes one can be charged with in the United Arab Emirates.Price, 48, told the Sun she spoke to Lee for a matter of minutes this morning. She managed to get Lee on the phone after after his dad put a very relieved Katie in touch with her vanished husband. Price said the call came from Dubai’s Al Awir jail, adding: "I have found him. He is alive, and he is OK. I told him how worried I had been and told him I loved him.“It was very rushed, but he said the authorities out there thought he was a spy. I don’t know much more than that right now.” Katie’s contact with her husband came after his dad, Peter, texted her to confirm he had found his son. The welcome update comes after Katie raised the alarm on May 13, telling fans her husband had been restrained, thrown in a van, and taken to a “black site” after being “arrested”. The Sun reports, however, that Lee was arrested on May 14. According to new reports, Andrews was not, in fact, been detained in relation to espionage charges, but had been arrested regarding a private civil matter. Lee is apparently set for release on Monday from the notorious 'Dubai Alcatraz' Al Awir prison, so long as a four-figure fine is paid to secure his freedom.Lee's spying claims are not the first time that the British conman has flirted with the idea of being a secret agent. He once reposted an Instagram post suggesting he should be the next James Bond. He also appeared in a 2016 video on his YouTube channel where he pretended to be a secret agent, entitled 'Charity TV show: The Agent'. A comment under the clip explains: “Featuring billionaire defense (sic) contractor H.E Weslee Peter John Andrews.”Last week, Katie revealed she was stepping back from efforts to find Lee, saying she was “giving up the search” after removing a social media update about his disappearance.Article continues belowSpeaking on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, the model said she was now leaving the matter in the hands of authorities. “There’s nothing more I can do or say,” she said. “I’m staying quiet because it’s getting ridiculous now, with people making a joke out of everything.” She said the investigation was being handled by multiple agencies, including British police, the British Consulate, the Foreign Office and Interpol. “They’re all looking for Lee,” she said. “All I can do is carry on with my life. I’ve got lots of exciting things coming up and I’m just waiting for a call. What am I meant to do – sit here crying, doing nothing and staying in bed? For my own sanity, I’m taking a step back.”However, the mystery deepened last weekend when Lee’s father, Peter, told the Daily Mail that his son was safe but had been detained in Dubai. He said:“Lee is OK. He has not been kidnapped but is under arrest. I don’t know what the charge is and I’m not sure where he is being held.” Katie fired back, disputing his dad's claims and insisted that Lee was still missing. She wrote: “This is fake news. Lee is still missing. His family and I know what is going on and are working closely with the authorities.” Concern over Lee’s whereabouts first emerged earlier this month when he failed to return to the UK for a scheduled appearance on Good Morning Britain.
