Members of the All Progressives Congress who emerged victorious in the Kaduna State House of Assembly primaries have pledged renewed commitment to development, unity, and effective representation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The member representing Zonkwa Constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Emmanuel Kantiok, who secured 549 votes to defeat Jothsm Ayina and Lawrence Bakam, described his emergence as an endorsement of his performance and a renewed mandate to deliver more dividends of democracy.

Speaking shortly after the exercise on Wednesday, Kantiok thanked God, party leaders, and constituents for their continued support, promising to consolidate on his achievements if re-elected.

He said his legislative responsibilities had extended beyond lawmaking, noting that he had facilitated several developmental projects across the education and health sectors.

“As Chairman of the House Committee on Judiciary for eight years, virtually all bills passed by the Assembly went through my committee. Beyond legislative duties, we have facilitated projects in education, healthcare, and other sectors,” he said.
