MANILA, Philippines — Bukidnon Rep. Jonathan Keith Flores has admitted that he cannot, in good conscience, oppose the articles of impeachment against Vice President Sara Duterte, as he knew the gravity of the evidence presented before him and other lawmakers.
Flores on Tuesday addressed questions over his controversial vote when the House of Representatives tackled House Resolution (HR) No. 989, which contains the articles of impeachment, as he was one of the nine lawmakers who abstained.
With his decision, Flores was asked how he could confidently present the articles of impeachment before the Senate Impeachment Court as one of the public prosecutors if he abstained from voting.
