CDWR also commiserated with the families of those killed during the incident, including Mr Michael Oyedokun, who the group said was murdered in captivity, as well as security operatives who reportedly died during rescue efforts.

The Campaign for Democratic and Workers’ Rights (CDWR) has called on the federal and Oyo State governments to ensure the immediate rescue and release of teachers, pupils and other victims abducted during an attack on two schools in Ahoro-Esiele, Oriire Local Government Area of Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

The group in a statement signed by Abiodun Bamigboye (Abbey Trotsky) Oyo State Coordinator of CDWR, made the demand while condemning the invasion of LA Primary School and Community Grammar School by armed bandits, an attack which reportedly led to the killing of a teacher and the abduction of several students, teachers and school workers.

CDWR also commiserated with the families of those killed during the incident, including Mr Michael Oyedokun, who the group said was murdered in captivity, as well as security operatives who reportedly died during rescue efforts.

The organisation said the attack reflected the worsening security situation across the country and accused both the federal and Oyo State governments of failing to adequately protect lives and property.
