Workers at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Enugu State have commenced an indefinite strike over what they described as an “illegal same-scale promotion” policy implemented during the hospital’s 2025 promotion exercise, crippling activities at the federal health institution.
SaharaReporters gathered that workers - operating under the umbrella of the Joint Health Sector Unions and the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives, staged a mass demonstration on Tuesday, at institution's premise paralysing activities in the hospital.
The workers chanted solidarity songs and displaying placards demanding an immediate reversal of the promotion exercise.
