Mahikeng-based crime activist Thato Molosankwe has died after being shot at his home in Lomanyaneng on Wednesday.
Police confirmed that Molosankwe sustained multiple gunshot wounds during the attack.
In a strong response, Acting National Commissioner Lieutenant-General Puleng Dimpane has ordered the immediate deployment of maximum police resources to track down those responsible for the killing.
Dimpane condemned the murder in the strongest possible terms, vowing that investigators would leave no stone unturned in the hunt for the gunmen behind the deadly shooting.
