Police have made a breakthrough in the investigation into the murder of social activist Thato Molosankwe, arresting key suspects linked to the fatal shooting.
North West police have confirmed that they made breakthrough in the investigation into the murder of social activist Thato Molosankwe, who was shot dead at his home in Lomanyaneng village on May 20.
Police confirmed the breakthrough in a media statement issued on Friday afternoon.
Police spokesperson Colonel Adéle Myburgh said that following Molosankwe's murder, Acting North West Provincial Commissioner Major General (Dr) Ryno Naidoo assembled a team from the Provincial Murder and Robbery Unit to investigate the case.
"Today, there was a breakthrough in the investigation," Myburgh said.
