Germany has already provided more than EUR 1.2 billion in emergency support to Ukraine's energy sector, making it the largest bilateral donor in this field.
According to Ukrinform, Parliamentary State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy Stefan Rouenhoff stated this during the international conference "Energy Security – Lessons from Ukraine" held in Berlin on Tuesday.
"Germany stands with Ukraine. We are the largest bilateral donor in the energy sector, with more than EUR 1.2 billion in emergency support," Rouenhoff said.
He stressed that Russia is launching hundreds of drones and missiles in an attempt to break Ukraine's resilience and destroy its energy system, which is why support must match the urgency of the situation on the ground.
