MANILA, Philippines — Senator Raffy Tulfo on Saturday called for a transparent investigation into the Senate shooting, noting that the commotion delayed the sponsorship for many proposed measures in the chamber.
Tulfo, now part of the minority bloc, said the integrity and credibility of the Senate must prevail over any political interest as it is mandated to serve the Filipino people.
“It is saddening that many important proposed measures are ready for their sponsorship but they keep on being delayed because of the chaos in the Senate,” Tulfo said in a statement.
