MANILA, Philippines — Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano formally wrote to senators informing them that the upper chamber will convene as an impeachment court on Monday (May 18) at 3 p.m. to hear the complaints against Vice President Sara Duterte.

In a letter dated May 15 addressed to “The Honorable Members of the Senate,” Cayetano said the Senate received the House of Representatives’ resolution containing the Articles of Impeachment and its annexes on May 13.

“In view of the foregoing, the Senate shall convene as an Impeachment Court on Monday, 18 May 2026, at 3:00 PM, in accordance with the applicable rules and procedure,” the Senate president said.
