MANILA, Philippines – The Senate holds session on Monday, May 18, the day that it is supposed to be convened as an impeachment court for the trial of Vice President Sara Duterte, and amid rumors of another leadership change.
In setting the May 18 date for the convening of the impeachment court, Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano said a day after the House of Representatives submitted the articles of impeachment to the Senate on May 13, that the upper chamber will follow the Constitution and assured the public that “there will be no delays.”
