An Iranian student activist announced on Tuesday that she has been ordered to report to prison within five days to begin serving a sentence handed down by a Revolutionary Court.

Motahare Goonei wrote on social media platform X that authorities had notified her to surrender herself to prison, expressing hope that “one day this homeland will become a homeland.”

Goonei was previously sentenced by a Revolutionary Court to 15 months in prison for “propaganda against the Islamic Republic” and six months for “insulting” Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

The court also ordered the confiscation of her mobile phone.

Security forces arrested Goonei in Tehran in June. She was released on bail after more than a month in custody.
