Though many CBSE schools in Mangaluru have recorded 100% result in the class 12 examination, some students have secured less than expected marks in some papers, but no one has cited ‘On Screen Marking’ (OSM) evaluation as a reason for scoring less marks.Kendriya Vidyalaya 1 and 2 schools in Mangaluru, PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya School at Mudipu, and other private CBSE schools have recorded 100% result in the class 12 examination.“Physics and mathematics papers were tough and students have secured less marks in them. But all the 40 students of our school have passed,” said Ashok Kumar Prasad, Post-Graduate Teacher (Hindi) of Kendriya Vidyalaya-1, Panambur. Of the 40 students, one secured more than 90% marks, while 80% of students secured more than 75% marks, he said.Similarly, Jasvinder Lal, Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya-2, Yekkur in Mangaluru, said all class 12 students have passed in the examination.P. Rajesh, Principal of PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Mudipu, said 70% of class 12 students have secured 75% and more marks, while 30% have scored between 60% and 75%.Father Johnson L. Sequeira, Principal of Lourdes Central School, said, “Of the 89 students who passed, 46 secured more than 75% marks, while 32 students secured between 60% and 75% marks. Ojas Samaga topped with 97.2%.”All the 28 students of St. Aloysius Gonzaga School have passed, of which five secured 85% and above, and 23 secured between 65% and 85%. Ishaan Pai topped with 95.6%, followed by Neel Thimmayya Nanda Kandarthanda (87%) and Shinead Rebecca Fernandes (86.8%).Sharada Vidyanikethana Public School, Talapady, has recorded 100% result. T. Shraval Naik topped with 95.8, followed by Parvathi Suresh (89.6) and R. K. Advika (88.4%).
