As its successful second course ends, Al-Fanar Media chief executive Mohammad El-Hawary says he is considering taking the Gen-Z Project to the whole Arab region.

El-Hawary said “The success of this cohort strengthens our belief that this model can be scaled across the region. We are working to transform it into a sustainable platform for building the capacities of media professionals in the Arab world.”

“What matters most to us is not the number of trainees, but the stories that emerge after the program—stories of journalists who become more conscious of their responsibility toward truth.

“This initiative would not have been possible without genuine partnerships that believe in the role of media in building more informed societies.”

The second cohort of the Gen Z Project, ran from November 2025 to March 2026.
