MANILA, Philippines – Some of the country’s most influential business and civil society groups urged the Senate to uphold “honor” and “integrity” in the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.

In a joint statement issued on Thursday, the 11 groups said the Senate must proceed with Duterte’s impeachment trial “without delay” and decide the case based on “the Constitution, the law, and the evidence.”
