A 50-year-old motorist died after his scooter was hit by a pick-up vehicle near Jeppinamogaru Junction on Saturday night, April 11.
The Mangaluru Traffic South Police gave the name of the deceased as Maan Singh.
The police said the pick-up vehicle hit the scooter around 10.30 p.m. as Maan Singh was taking a right turn towards Bajal after coming down from Thokkottu. The motorist fell off the scooter after being dragged by the pick-up vehicle for about 10 meters. Unconscious, he was taken to a nearby hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit, where he succumbed around midnight, the police said.
