From giant balloons at key junctions to flash mobs in malls, election awareness activities are being held across the Chennai district ahead of the Assembly election to promote 100% voter turnout.

Giant balloons displaying messages on voting were installed at prominent locations, including Ripon Buildings, Ezhilagam, Anna Salai, and near the Koyambedu flyover, urging voters to participate in the ‘Election festival – the grand festival of Tamil Nadu’.

A voter awareness marathon was organised near the Peravallur police station in Kolathur constituency. A selfie point was set up at the venue, where participants took photographs promoting 100% turnout, and certificates were distributed.

Focus on PwDs

In Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni constituency, more than 100 persons with disabilities (PwDs) took part in an awareness rally on Kamarajar Salai near the Marina on Saturday.
