Traffic congestion was reported on the Grand Southern Trunk (GST) Road on Wednesday evening, as city residents travelled to their hometowns to cast their votes in the Assembly elections.

Officials said that, in view of the elections, 11,323 buses have been deployed, including 2,092 regular services from Chennai and 6,234 special buses.
