Four days have been declared as ‘Dry Days’ in view of polling and counting of votes for the Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.

District Election Officer and Collector V. Mohanachandran has said that Indian made foreign liquor retail outlets/bars, FL1, FL2, FL3A, FL3AA and FL11 licenced outlets in Tiruvarur district will remain closed from 10 a.m. on April 21 to midnight of April 23, the polling day, and on May 4 when the votes are to be counted.

In the event of any violations, the management of TASMAC godowns and breweries manufacturing units, wine shop supervisors and FL2 and FL3 licence holders will be subjected to legal action, a press reelase said.
