Governance must be people-centric with solutions emerging from the grassroots, Lieutenant-Governor (L-G) Taranjit Singh Sandhu said on Sunday during his visit to Connaught Place (CP), where he interacted with the public and sought their views on addressing civic issues in the Capital.

He emphasised the need for a “bottom-up” approach to governance rather than a “top-down” model. During the visit, part of his direct outreach programme, Mr. Sandhu also assessed ground conditions and took note of sanitation work and traffic in different parts of the area.

He engaged with people from diverse backgrounds on a range of issues.

Revisiting personal memories associated with CP’s culinary heritage, the L-G stopped for a milkshake and savoured kadhi chawal, according to a post by the official X account of Lok Niwas Delhi run by the L-G Secretariat.
