Aadhaar linkage
Linking Aadhaar with voter ID (EPIC) has been proposed to improve the accuracy of electoral rolls by eliminating duplicate entries and preventing impersonation. A clean and updated database is essential for ensuring free and fair elections, which form the cornerstone of our democratic system. Such linkage could also simplify the process of updating voter details and encourage greater participation by enabling easier access to registration services. It may further support the development of remote or technology-based voting systems in the future. The authorities concerned may consider implementing Aadhaar–EPIC linkage with adequate safeguards to protect voter data and privacy.
