Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay has alleged that the Congress government in Telangana has failed to effectively implement the employment guarantee scheme in the State.

He said that despite the presence of 92,000 job cards in Rajanna Sircilla district, workers are receiving less than 50 days of employment on average.

He was addressing a gathering at Ankireddypalle village in Thangallapalli mandal of Rajanna Sircilla district where he launched internal CC road works at an estimated cost of ₹25 lakh under the National Employment Guarantee Scheme on Saturday.

He also laid the foundation stone for internal road works in Mustabad.

In the 2026-27 Union Budget, the Centre has allocated ₹95,692 crore for the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Scheme, which has replaced the earlier employment guarantee programme, he said.
