Fincantieri on Wednesday reported €117 million in profit for 2025, the highest ever for the Italian shipbuilding giant.

Fincantieri closed 2025 with a net profit of €117 million, "the highest ever and four times higher than 2024 (€27 million)," said the TRieste-based group, Europe's biggest shipbuilder and the fourth biggest in the world.

Revenues and EBITDA increased by 13.1% (€9,194 million versus €8,128 million in 2024) and 33.9% (€681 million versus €509 million in 2024), respectively.

The EBITDA margin increased to 7.4% (6.3% in 2024).

And again, "a new record in orders acquired, equal to €20.3 billion, +32.4% compared to the record set in 2024 (€15.4 billion)." The overall backlog is at its highest ever, amounting to €63.2 billion in 2025, with new contracts signed in early 2026 that extend the visibility of the backlog to 2037.
