Across France, 1,590 constituencies are set for a second round on Sunday, March 22, including in major cities like Paris, Marseille and Lyon. While each election is shaped by local issues, several points warrant national attention.
Republican front mobilization
Since the first round on Sunday, March 15, alliances and withdrawals have, according to calculations by the Les Décodeurs team at Le Monde, increased the number of runoffs between two lists from 78 to 557, while the number of three-way races dropped from 1,081 to 823 and four-way races from 354 to 171.
