District Election Officer and Collector C. Dinesh Kumar inspected the inter-State border between Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, falling in Bargur Constituency, and vetted the vehicle checks at the border checkposts here on Saturday (March 21, 2026).

With the announcement of the State Assembly elections and the emforcement of the Model Code of Conduct, the inter-state borders have been strengthened between Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu in Krishnagiri.

On Saturday, the Collector inspected the Kali temple forest checkpost, Kurivinayanapalli excise checkpost, RTO checkpost, and Varamalagunda checkpost. He also inspected the CCTV cameras and LED monitors to screen the interceptions and verified the vehicle registers at the different checkposts.

The Collector also inspected the Election control room at the taluk office in Bargur assembly constituency, training for returning officers, strong rooms housing the EVMs, preparedness ahead of the filing of nominations. He also inquired on the action report on the applications received directly and through cVIGIL App at the taluk office.

The Collector urged officials to follow due diligence in election duties.
