Women graduates are the embodiment of Periyar’s ideal of women empowerment, as higher education provides a level playing field to children of all backgrounds and communities, Minister for School Education Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi said on Saturday.
Addressing the 51st convocation ceremony of Seethalakshmi Ramaswami College, the Minister lauded the candidates for their academic achievements, and encouraged them to see their degrees as a gateway to a lifetime of learning.
“Artificial intelligence is being projected as a threat to human employment in the future. However, I would advise you to use your native intelligence and keep updating yourself on the latest movements in your chosen field so that you are always a step ahead,” said Mr. Mahesh.
A total of 999 graduands received their degrees during the graduation ceremony. Principal M.V. Alli presented the annual report.
