For Tippiri Gangadhar, the younger brother of 62-year-old Tippiri Thirupati, alias Devuji, it was an emotional reunion with his elder brother, whom he had not met in more than 40 years. Devuji was one among the top Maoist leader who returned to the mainstream on Tuesday (February 24, 2026).Gangadhar said in emotionally choked voice that their decades-long anxious wait ended with Devuji’s return to the mainstream.A native of Korutla town in Jagtial district, Gangadhar and his family members met Devuji in Hyderabad soon after the latter along with three other senior Maoist leaders turned themselves in before Telangana DGP B. Shivadhar Reddy.
