Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Kendall Coyne Schofield scored twice to lead Team USA to a 6-0 shutout of Italy on Friday in a 2026 Winter Olympics hockey quarterfinal.

The veteran forward found the net twice in a span of 3:10 in the second period of the victory at Milano Rho Ice Hockey Arena. Fellow forward Britta Curl and defensemen Megan Keller and Laila Edwards registered a goal and assist apiece.

Forward Hanna Bilka also scored in Friday's win. Defenseman Caroline Harvey tallied two assists against the Italians. The Americans outshot the Olympic hosts 51-6.

U.S. goalie Gwyneth Philips made six saves. Her counterpart, Italian net minder Gabriella Durant, made 45 stops.
