Bengaluru East City Corporation Commissioner, D.S. Ramesh has directed officials to coordinate with the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) and expedite the process of handing over Varthur Lake to the Corporation.
Mr. Ramesh inspected Bellandur Lake, which is currently maintained by the BDA and undergoing desilting work. The inspection covered the lake bund, inlets, boundary fencing and sluice gates, with directions issued to ensure their effective maintenance. Mr. Ramesh observed that the lake surface was fully covered with weeds and instructed them to take steps for their removal.
